The myth of Santa Claus is a wonderful way to convey a sense of universal love to children. Just because there isn't a real person called Santa Claus with a long white beard doesn't mean that sharing this myth with children is bad. It has a sense of wonder that fits our dreams and hopes. Children eventually come to see that Santa Claus represents a spirit in all of us, and the love and joy in our own hearts is what makes the celebration of Santa Claus real for us.
